Are Car Insurance Companies Taking Us For A Ride?
It may seem that way initially; while searching for a reliable Car insurance company. The truth is; there are many reputable and reliable companies. And those, that have been in the car insurance business, for many years. It just takes some time to go through the list of car insurance companies and choose the correct one for your needs.
To begin with, write down what your initial expectations would be from a car insurance company. This saves you time and aggravation in the long run.
When you are requested by the car insurance company to give full details of the vehicle you wish to insure. Have ready, the model, and year of your vehicle. Make sure you have all the relevant information at your finger tips.
Does the vehicle have a permanent mobile phone installed? Again, this must be stated when requesting a quotation, else in the event of an accident or theft you would not be able to claim, as it needs a separate insurance cover.
Some car insurance companies offer much more than the next. But; at the end of the day, their premiums will be higher. Do you really need the extra’s that are offered? For instance, many car insurance companies will offer a Free Hire Car, for a set number of days, should you be involved in an accident or theft and without a car. Some also offer a free towing service etc.
Do a little preparation before hand i.e. Make a list, of your requirements. You should have all the necessary information available and it shouldn’t take too much time, once you have decided on which car insurance company you are going to commit to, to take care of your needs.
Be sure you chose a well known car insurance company. Don’t be taken in by cheaper rates from unknown car insurance companies. They may not be around long enough to honor their commitments. Also be sure to read through the documentation, EVEN the small print before you sign on the dotted line.
