Vintage Car Shows – A Fun Activity
Real car lovers, such as me, probably enjoy looking at cars from days long gone. I have always thought there is a certain charisma to cars that were built many decades ago that modern cars don’t have. Don’t get me wrong… I don’t mean that I don’t like modern day cars. Old and new cars are both great to drive and look at.
They are both beautiful, each in their own way. It’s too bad I’m not rich myself, or I would own hundreds of collectibles myself. Also, I wouldn’t have storage space for them. So instead, I visit antique car shows and have a good look at other people’s vehicles.
If you have never visited a vintage car show yourself, you should give one a try sometime. If you live in or near a large city, then there will be plenty of car show opportunities. If you want to find out when the next auto show is held, check out a magazine. Somebody even organized a car show on a school yard close to my home at one time.
There was no other space to display the vehicles. A lack of display space isn’t going to stop the true car lovers amongst us. In some cases no shows are held close to home, so I will have to travel a greater distance.
Lots of websites on the Internet will give you plenty of info on upcoming automobile exhibitions. It helps to know where and when they are going to be held. The kinds of cars that will be on display, is also important to find out. If the cars shown aren’t your thing, you can decide to skip this particular exhibition.
Most car shows have an entry price, so find out if the one you are eyeing also has one. In case you have to pay entrance, learn how high the price is and how long you get to visit. To get the most bang for your buck, leave early so you get to stay long.
You may already have a subscription to a car magazine which you can check for any car show dates. The advertisements in those kinds of magazines will almost always have some information on the next car show. You can’t always get all the information you need from these magazines.
Another good idea for finding out car show information, is to ask owners of collectibles. There’s nothing these auto lovers don’t know about classic car related stuff. The more collectibles he has, the better your chances are of him being able to tell you all about upcoming shows!
