How often you should change a shock is a hard question to answer. There are many factors that influence the life of the ATV shocks. How you drive, where you drive, the type of shock, and the stunts you do all play a part in the wear and tear of the shock.

Because of this, you will need to perform regular checks on your shocks to make sure they are still drivable. When it’s time to change your shocks, do it as soon as possible. It is smart to change all the shocks at the same time that way they have even wear on them. You also don’t want to have to keep going in month after month for a new shock.
Buying shocks can cost a lot of money especially for the better quality ones. Higher quality parts always last longer and perform better so remember this as you make your purchase. If you hardly use your ATV and don’t mind a factory brand part, then just go with the cheapest shock.
