How To Install A New HD Radio Technology
There are various data services to your car FM station. In that one which is to be mentioned is the HD radio which is the most famous data service and digital audio available in the market. These all can be delivered by our own FM stations. Installation of this HD radio is very important. The first unit that is to be installed is the head units. This unit is generally fixed directly in the factory premises. In this the radio by itself is connected to the unit of head. These provides as much controls to the radio. But how to hook up un HD radio to your car?
This article is moderately easy and is achievable by all people who can follow the instructions. To accomplish this task, the radio and installation kit will be needed. Apart from this, electric tape is also helpful.
As a first step the negative terminal of the battery in the car is disconnected perfectly for safety reasons. Antenna jack from your HD radio is connected to the antenna of the car. Do not connect the same to the antenna input of the head unit.
The black coloured wire is connected from the back. A clean and paint less metal location is selected. Wiring has pieces coming with it. The yellow coloured lead is connected to the twelve volts constant supply terminal.
A paint free clean location is chosen first. There are pieces that come along with wiring and it can be used. The yellow line is then connected to the terminal which has a supply of 12 v . it is a constant supply. It also consists of the inline for the fuse.
A cable that is either blue or white comes out from head unit. This cable is connected to the auto-antenna control terminal of the car. The manual of the car can be checked for this antenna. This is mainly for the control signal. Then, all the above wiring connections are secured by taping it with the electric insulation tape.
HD radio is mounted in the most convenient place in the car. Hook and loop fasteners are used to fix the HD radio under any seat to the car’s carpet. The reason why the radio is fixed under a seat is that the radio is controlled by the head unit in the dash board and not by the radio itself. The negative terminal of the car’s battery is reconnected and the radio is tested.
